Edible Fruit Palm Tree

The perfect item to accompany a chocolate fountain hire is an edible fruit palm tree.  This small fruit display can sit next to the flowing chocolate and not only make a stunning display for you and your guests, but taste delicious with or without chocolate.

Our fruit palm tree stands approx 25 inches tall and is made entirely from fresh fruits purchased on the hire day.  We use;

  • StrawberriesFresh Edible Fruit Palm Tree
  • Melon
  • Kiwi
  • Mango
  • Grapes
  • Pineapple

The fruits are skewered into fresh pineapple to create the palm tree effect.

The cocktail sticks allow guests to pick their favourite fruit off the tree and not worry about being covered in chocolate when coating the fruit into the chocolate fountain.

Chocolate Fountain Hire – Chocolate Options

We have available delicious milk, white or dark Belgian chocolate.  The chocolate that we use in our fountains is fountain ready, which means nothing (including oil) is required to be added to it.  The chocolate recipe has been made using soya as its emulsifier and the chocolate is suitable for vegetarians and is also kosher.

2 chocolate fountains

For those who are unable to choose which chocolate they would like to have flowing through their chocolate fountain, why not hire 2 or 3 chocolate fountains for your special occasion?

You could choose one fountain to have milk chocolate and another to have white chocolate or even delicious dark chocolate.  Your guests will be more than impressed!

We have regularly been hired to take more than one chocolate fountain along to a special event.  At Christmas 2011 both a white and milk 44″ chocolate fountain flowed side by side for over 800 guests to enjoy at the ASDA Christmas party.  Guests were blown away by the treats that were on offer.  Each fountain can easily serve between 70 – 500 guests!

Asian Wedding Chocolate Fountain

Sunday 18th March chocolate fountains made the journey to Newcastle.  Over 400 guests came together to join in the wedding celebrations of Fariha and Shahid.  The venue was held at the Lancastrian Suite.

Our chocolate fountain was filled to full capacity with the finest fountain ready Belgian milk chocolate.  We created a stunning display using our illuminated base unit and placed the dips chosen by Fariha for her wedding chocolate fountain hire in white crockery.  Dips that were chosen included fresh fruits (strawberries, cherries, banana, grapes, pineapple), cakes and biscuits (shortbread, cookies, brownies, profiteroles).

From 5pm the guests arrived and joined us to sample the delights of the fountain.  Music welcomed all of the guests as they arrived into the stunning reception room, which had been beautifully decorated in cream and ivory tones.

Fariha and her husband arrived at 6.30pm dressed in their stunning wedding outfits.  The celebrations continued in the main reception room, starting with a prayer. Guests then enjoyed a 3 course meal and then joined us later for a second course of chocolate.

We had a great evening and we left the venue at 9pm after a wonderful evening.

Fariha sent a message the following day “thanking us for attending and that everyone enjoyed it”.

Chocolate Fountain Hire – Beeston Cheshire

On Saturday 17th March, chocolate fountains had the pleasure of being hired for the evening reception of newlyweds Lyndsey and Paul.  The venue chosen was the stunning Wild Boar Hotel in Beeston Cheshire.  The hotel manager Gary welcomed us and both he and his team were on hand all evening to support us if needed.  Thanks team.

The wedding breakfast and evening reception were being held in a stunning marquee.  The guests had just finished their 3 course meal before we entered the marquee ready to start setting up.  As we entered, the guests were being entertained with a very talented live singer.  She was getting everyone in the party mood.

We began to set up the 44″ chocolate fountain and started to melt fountain ready Belgian milk chocolate into the basin.  The guests were in for a treat as Lyndsey had chosen dips including fresh strawberries, banana, pineapple, mini doughnuts, cookies, profiteroles and marshmallows for her chocolate fountain hire.

As the guests joined us to sample the delights of the chocolate fountain, guests were entertained further by a magician and sample the delights of a candy buffet.  We received many compliments for our chocolate fountain hire and everyone appeared to enjoy it.

The bride wore a stunning strapless wedding ivory dress covered in delicate sequins.

Dip Selections to Accompany a Chocolate Fountain

We offer a full chocolate fountain hire service enables our customers to choose which dip items they would like for the guests to enjoy.  We have a list containing popular choices.  They include sweets, biscuits and fresh fruits.

  • Marshmallows
  • Shortbread
  • Mini Doughnuts
  • Strawberries
  • Profiteroles
  • Jelly babies
  • Fudge
  • Pink Wafers
  • Grapes
  • Banana
  • Chocolate Brownies
  • Pineapple
  • Cookies

Marshmallows are a delicious dip available in many different shapes.  Besides being available in different shapes they are also in colours such as pink and white.  They look very pretty on a display particular at an occasion where a pink and white colour scheme may be required.  Marshmallows come in such unique shapes as twirls, strawberry shaped, apple shaped, and ice cream coned shaped. As well as their sweet taste, marshmallows are a perfect choice as they are easily skewered and tend not to fall off when dipped in the chocolate fountain.

Fudge is a delicious item to use as a dip and when skewered will not fall off the skewer into the chocolate. You can find fudge in different flavours such as vanilla  As fudge does not crumble easily it is an ideal dip item.  Guests often enjoy eating the fudge as a sweet not dipped as well.

The biscuits such as shortbread and pink wafers are ideally dipped under the chocolate without skewering.  The biscuits that we use are long so that one half can be coated in chocolate and it still is hygienic for the users as their fingers do not come into contact with the chocolate.

Fresh fruits such as strawberries are by far the most popular choice that is requested.  The taste of the cool sweet strawberry is enhanced with a coating of delicious warm Belgian chocolate.  The white chocolate has a completely different taste to the milk chocolate when eaten with fresh fruit.

We avoid using any foods that may crumble easily, because they are sure to fall into the chocolate under the intense flow. As the chocolate in the fountain runs through slightly warm, we avoid items that will melt easily.

Wedding Chocolate Fountain Hire

Planning a wedding day has to be one of the most important events for any couple.  It will also be one of the most indulgent.  Many couples will spend months planning every individual detail for their special day.  Every detail from the venue, photographer, food and drink is chosen with the utmost importance.  A popular addition for a wedding reception currently is a chocolate fountain hire often set up to run alongside the evening buffet.

A chocolate fountain consists of a set of stainless steel plate like tiers that are bigger at the bottom than toward the top.   Each tier is placed carefully over the centre post and within this post there is an Archimedes screw.  The chocolate is melted slowly in the base at the bottom of the fountain and once fully melted, the motor is switched on.  At this point the centre screw quickly spins around and this motion draws the chocolate upwards.  As the chocolate reaches the top of the fountain known as the crown, it then gracefully flows downwards over each tier.  The melted chocolate then  collects in the bowl at the bottom and repeats the process flowing upward through the fountain again and again.

We can offer a fabulous display consisting of a 44″ Sephra chocolate fountain along with with an illuminated base unit, which can be set to one of 6 colour options.  The display will be the perfect centre piece for everyone to enjoy.  The flowing chocolate not only creates a visual centre piece but also perfumes the surrounding area with a fresh cocoa scent.

At chocolate fountains we will arrive at your chosen venue an hour or so before the chocolate is required to start flowing.  A member of our friendly team will set up the fountain and its display as discussed.  The uniformed and fully trained member of staff will operate the 44″ Sephra chocolate fountain for the duration of the hire period and ensure that the chocolate and chosen dips are topped up when required.  They will ensure that the serving area is kept tidy at all times, with the aim that the display looks as good towards the end of the hire as it did at the beginning.  When the hire period has ended they will discreetly dismantle all of the equipment and leave the area tidy.

We offer a full service hire which includes a range of fresh dips to accompany the chocolate fountain.  The dip items are what guests can skewer and then dip into the chocolate before eating.  Our dip choices include fresh fruits, marshmallows, sweets and biscuits.  The prefect items are those that will not crumble when dipped into the chocolate.

We use fountain ready Belgian chocolate in our fountain, which is available in dark, milk or white.  The term fountain ready means that nothing is added to it to make it easier to flow.  Other cheaper chocolate brands require a large quantity of oil to be added into the chocolate to thin it out and help it flow.  The finest chocolate that is available is Belgian and made by Callebaut.  The fountain ready chocolates have soya included in their recipes to act as the emulsifier and because of this, it is suitable for vegetarians.  Most guests at the wedding reception will be able to enjoy the delights of the chocolate fountain and all of its treats.

It is advisable to use the chocolate fountain indoors.  If it preferred to use the fountain outdoors, it is important to set it up in an area where there is some shelter available to protect the fountain unit against the elements.  When it is cold outside, it is important to know that this will affect the temperature of the chocolate and prevent it from flowing properly.  Our advice is to avoid the outdoors on cold days.  On very hot days, we would also avoid the outdoors, as the smell of chocolate and fresh fruits can attract unwanted bugs and pests.

Charity Event For Yorkshire Air Ambulance

This weekend chocolate fountains travelled across the border into Yorkshire to support Jo Mclaughlan and her fundraiser for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Friends and supporters came along to a fun evening planned by Jo to raise money for the charity and go towards supporting the fantastic work that the air ambulance provides.  The venue was a lovely restaurant called the Dolce Vita in Scissett.

We learnt that this vital service to the area requires £7200 per day to keep its two air craft maintained and in the air.  Without these funds the service would not be able to be operative.

Jo put together the evening to raise funds which are going towards the Pedal For Pounds 3 In Aid Of Keep It Up Campaign which is a bike ride from Yeovil to Huddersfield.  Each cyclist is aiming to raise £1000 each for the charity.

The evening including live entertainment from one of the guests.  Several Elvis numbers were sung for all the guests to enjoy.sing along and dance to.

We provided a 44″ milk chocolate fountain for all the guests to enjoy.  Fresh strawberries and bananas were accompanied by shortbread, pink wafers, mini doughnuts, fudge, jelly babies and the all time favourite marshmallows.

I received a lovely phone call today to say that everyone enjoyed the fountain and that the evening planned by Jo was an entire success.

Chocolate fountains would like to wish Jo, Andy and everyone who is taking part in the bike ride the best of luck.

ASDA Christmas Party 2011

We were hired by AV-Matrix to supply two 44” chocolate fountains, for the recent Christmas party celebrations for ASDA at their head office in Leeds.  We sent a team of four uniformed operators to the venue location to provide a fantastic display for all of the party guests to enjoy.  Each display included a stunning illuminated base unit, which lit up each chocolate fountain.

Over 800 guests attended the party in their finest fancy dress attire.  There were several Audrey Hepburn’s, Thelma & Louise, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and we lost count at the number of Sir Jimmy Saville’s which was a touching tribute after his recent passing.

The requirements that we were given by AV-Matrix was that one fountain flowed milk chocolate and the other white chocolate.

We arrived at the venue approx 2 hours prior to our 8pm start to set up our displays.  Two uniformed team members each set up one chocolate fountain display ready for the evening ahead.  Each fountain was filled with nearly 10kg of the finest fountain ready Belgian chocolate, which means that nothing is added to the chocolate.  The chocolate that we use is suitable for vegetarians and is kosher.

We supplied a 3 hour chocolate fountain flowing time and we ensured that we served as many guests as we could. The dips chosen ranged from fresh fruits including strawberries, grapes, pineapple to sweets like fudge, jelly babies and marshmallows.  All of the produce we ensured was purchased from our local ASDA store that day – a must!

All of the guests enjoyed the live band that was hired for the entertainment and many guests were still dancing the night away when we departed around midnight.

We hope to see ASDA again in 2012 for their Christmas chocolate fountain hire service!
